Guidelines
Whenever you start your journey, one of the first things is packing bags.
Always ensure that none of the costly/valuable items such as jewellery, watches, cash, electronic gadgets i.e. camera, laptop, and mobile phone are placed into your check-in baggage. Yes, you can leave a copy of your Travel documents into the baggage.
The most important thing is that sometimes you are given a parcel by some of your known/friends/colleagues/acquaintance for its delivery at your destination and only verbally you were told about its contents.
Never accept any such parcels unless they were packed in your presence and also you have checked them thoroughly. As it may have some drugs or banned illegal items which would land you in trouble as" IGNORANCE OF LAW IS NO EXCUSE".
When you land at any Indian Airport, after deboarding you are required to report to the immigration counters where you have to put up your passport and valid visa.
After this you reach the conveyer belt/baggage collection area for collection of your checked-in baggage. Please check that your bag is present in the same condition as you handed over at the time of check-in. Check that it is not tampered with or damaged in any way. If so, report it to the Airline staff present there so that you can claim compensation against such damage.
In case you do not find your baggage, report the same to the Airline staff. They will do the necessary paperwork in this regard and will immediately compensate you and give you the final words about your baggage.
After collecting your luggage, you move into the duty-free mapping area where you are entitled to buy any brand of liquor (limit 2 litre) and 1 pack of a cigarette carton (200 cigarettes).
And then comes the Customs area. If you have any dutiable item, declare it to the CUSTOMS officer, they will charge the duty and will give you the receipt for that.
If you have nothing to declare, simply cross the green channel and make the final exit to meet us.
Near the exit, you will find the car rentals, and taxi booking offices which are prepaid. You can pay the fare as per the distance for the destination and they will give you a receipt, then proceed towards the taxi stand and board the cab.
Well in case you are a member of IndiaBlu family, you don’t have to worry. You will find us at the exit holding a placard in your name to make your travel hassle-free.
Rest of the things will be well taken care of in respect of your trip to "Incredible India".
Points to Remember:
Whenever you intend to hire/board a private transport i.e. 3/4wheeler vehicle such as Taxi/cab/Auto-Rickshaw (3 wheeler) take a photo of the driver and its Number plate/Registration number and send it to admin.indiablu on WhatsApp.
Make sure that the driver is aware that you have taken the photographs. It will work as a deterrent to cause you unnecessary botheration by the auto taxi driver. Although they are always happy to be photographed. In case he asks, you can simply tell him that you have sent the photos to a Police friend here in India.
It's always better to open the Google Map to know the distance and travel time for your destination.
If anyone becomes friendly with you and offer you to take you home/office, simply say No. But still, if you want to visit, take his photo (or selfie) and his MOBILE number and send it to us. Also, call us so that we can talk to him to ascertain that he is not a con man.
Try calling from his number.
"Prevention is always better than cure"
Do not eat or drink anything given to you by your cab/taxi driver in any form of prasad (Sacrament-a devotional offering made to GOD typically consisting of food/sweets that are later shared among devotees). Its ok if it is being distributed inside the religious places by the priest.
